We can now see the true face of both contenders.

The leader of the left is spreading uncertainty and fear with his associates in order to intimidate right-wing voters. We have never experienced such an aggressive style in public life as the one Péter Magyar has now introduced. I understand that what many people see online and on various forums may cause concern, which is precisely why we must not follow the Brussels path.

Since 2010, Viktor Orbán has been working tirelessly for Hungary’s peace and security. This is what responsible leadership looks like — following the Hungarian path, protecting our achievements even in the most difficult times, and keeping us out of a senseless war. Only we can guarantee this, which is why Fidesz is the safe choice.

🔴 1️⃣ “True face” – moral exposure narrative

📌 Technique: moral framing + character attack

“We can see his true face.”

👉 The debate is not about programs or specific policy decisions, but about personality and morality.
The political conflict is reframed as a moral unmasking.

🎯 Effect:
The opponent is no longer a debate partner, but a morally problematic actor.

🔴 2️⃣ “Fear and aggression” – collective scapegoating

📌 Technique: threat amplification + generalization

“Creates uncertainty and fear.”
“With his enforcers.”
“They intimidate right-wing voters.”
“An aggressive style never seen before.”

👉 Without concrete, verifiable examples, negative intent is attributed to an entire political community.

🎯 Effect:
Public life is framed not as debate, but as threat.
The reader is pushed into a defensive mindset.

🔴 3️⃣ “The Brussels path” – external enemy framing

📌 Technique: external threat framing

“We must not take the Brussels path.”

👉 Domestic political competition is reframed not as differing policy alternatives, but as a question of national sovereignty versus external influence.

🎯 Effect:
The opponent is portrayed not as an autonomous political actor, but as aligned with foreign interests.

🔴 4️⃣ Leader myth – stability vs. chaos

📌 Technique: strong leader framing

The text presents Orbán Viktor as the positive counterpoint:

“Working tirelessly since 2010.”
“For peace and security.”
“Protects our achievements.”
“Keeps us out of war.”

👉 A stability narrative is constructed around a single individual.

🎯 Effect:
The election is framed not as a choice between policy platforms, but as a choice between security and uncertainty.

🔴 5️⃣ “Only we are the guarantee” – exclusivity closure

📌 Technique: exclusivity framing + binary choice

“Only we are the guarantee.”
“Fidesz is the safe choice.”

👉 The political field is divided into two camps:

we = security

they = aggression + Brussels + war

🎯 Effect:
The election is framed as a moral and existential decision.

📌 Summary

The text does not engage in concrete policy debate, but instead relies on:

  • character deconstruction
  • amplification of threat perception
  • activation of an external enemy narrative
  • construction of a strong-leader myth
  • exclusivist closing

This is a classic stability-versus-chaos campaign framing.
