In the interview he did indeed mention Orbán, as well as his children and grandchildren, but for it to sound like a threat the government media had to omit the other half of the sentence.
The words of the retired Ukrainian officer had to be cut so that it would appear as if he were threatening Orbán’s children.
telex.hu “They had to cut the retired Ukrainian officer’s statement to make it seem like he was threatening Orbán’s children.”
‼️ Response to the letter from the Ukrainian Embassy
As the leader of the largest parliamentary group in the Hungarian National Assembly, I reject the arrogant and lecturing tone and line of reasoning appearing in your letter, directed against Hungary, the Hungarian legislature, and the sovereign national decision-making rights that the Hungarian Parliament is entitled to under all circumstances.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that only Transcarpathia is part of Ukraine — our mother country is not.
We Hungarians have long been accustomed to the condescending yet irritated tone directed at us from other European cities as well — for example from Brussels — but this has never influenced our decisions: we are guided solely by Hungarian interests.
Yesterday the Hungarian Parliament said no to supporting the war, to Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, and to cutting Hungary off from Russian energy. According to you this is shameful; according to us it is necessary in the interest of the Hungarian people.
We also decided to provide our authorities with additional legal tools so that they can conduct as thorough an investigation as possible into the “Ukrainian gold convoy” case. Our concerns are realistic, therefore many questions must be clarified.
I trust that you will at least not dispute Hungarian jurisdiction on the territory of Hungary.
In the “Ukrainian gold convoy” case it was not the regular bank money transports that drew the attention of Hungarian authorities, but the fact that within two months more than one billion dollars and 160 kg of gold were transported under the leadership of a Ukrainian intelligence general — an astonishing amount, and the method of transport also differed from the usual rules.
We must determine how much of this went to Ukraine and how much of the funds of unknown origin remained in Hungary unused. Many aspects remain unexplained.
At the same time, I would like to point out that legal concerns have not only arisen on the Hungarian side but also in your country. You are certainly aware that a former prosecutor of the Ukrainian Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has also initiated criminal proceedings, claiming that “the case may be part of a large-scale money-laundering scheme.”
We find the part of your letter referring to the interests of Hungarians in Transcarpathia extremely hypocritical, since those Hungarians suffer numerous restrictions of rights from your authorities, face wartime forced conscription, and live in legal uncertainty.
We also condemn the fact that Ukraine is actively interfering in Hungarian electoral processes, supporting the Tisza Party with financial and information-technology tools, and — also for political reasons — illegally cutting off oil shipments toward Hungary, thereby endangering the energy security of all Hungarian citizens.
You have broken a valid contract in order to cause chaos in our country and, if possible, help the Hungarian left wing to power.
Ukraine has found a person in Hungary who would form a pro-Ukrainian government, and we acknowledge that you want to help him come to power and that you want to remove Viktor Orbán. However, we demand that contracts be respected and that President Zelensky not threaten the life of the democratically elected Hungarian prime minister simply because he stands up for the interests of his country.
Máté Kocsis Leader of the Fidesz Parliamentary Group
☝️ Tisza supporters, Tisza supporters! I trust that you do not want to shoot, hang, or lynch the judge who announced the final ruling. ❗️
☝️ Everyone should believe and accept this: if TISZA comes to power, it will introduce brutal austerity measures, because under orders from Brussels and Kyiv, Hungary’s money would have to be sent to Ukraine. ❗️
🇭🇺 Among other reasons, this is why there will not be a Tisza government.
Fidesz parliamentary group leader Máté Kocsis has submitted a bill concerning the assets seized from the Ukrainian savings bank. The Hungarian Parliament will discuss the proposal under an extraordinary procedure, as was revealed during the public portion of Monday’s meeting of the National Security Committee. Although the committee otherwise held a closed session, its members moved to another room to discuss Kocsis’s bill, where the meeting was briefly open to the public.
When explaining the proposal, Kocsis said that many aspects of the case known as the “Ukrainian gold convoy” remain unclear. The proposal concerns the “unusual amount” of cash and gold transported through Hungary. Kocsis suggested that the assets seized last week should remain confiscated until the end of the procedure initiated by Hungary’s National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV). The Fidesz member of the committee said that authorities are examining how the purpose and intended use of the transported assets could affect national security. However, he stated that the method of transportation and the identities of the individuals involved pose a national security risk to Hungary.
The proposal was debated by MPs in a very short time. Zsolt Molnár of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) objected to why Kocsis submitted the proposal now, just before the elections, and why it had been introduced so quickly. Zoltán Sas, the Jobbik chairman of the committee, also criticized the speed with which the proposal was prepared, saying there had been no time to examine it in detail. Sas also said the proposal raises concerns about retroactive legislation. At the same time, they agreed that the case may indeed pose a national security risk.
Kocsis briefly responded to their concerns, saying that although the issue of retroactive effect may indeed arise, the proposal specifically concerns this particular case, and legislation is therefore necessary. He apologized for submitting the proposal in such a short time but explained that Parliament will only meet on Monday and Tuesday before the elections, so a decision on the proposal must be made urgently.
Kocsis’s proposal was approved by the committee with four votes in favor and two abstentions. Jobbik’s Zoltán Sas and MSZP’s Zsolt Molnár abstained. The committee members voted the same way on recommending to Parliament that the bill be debated under an extraordinary procedure.
On Sunday, the Ukrainian Savings Bank announced that it would demand the return of the cash and gold seized from the armored transport vehicles by Hungarian authorities. On March 6, it was revealed that Hungarian authorities had intercepted two Ukrainian cash transport vehicles on the M0 ring road, on the section between the M4 and M5 motorways, near the Alacska rest area. On that same day, the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) announced that it had launched a criminal investigation on suspicion of money laundering in connection with the Ukrainian cash transports seized in Hungary.
The case, which could dominate the election campaign, has been summarized in detail in our article.
From here we send a message to every Ukrainian and to the whole world: Z1G. Not Zorro, not Genius, but Z1G. We Hungarians will stand by staying out of it even if the Prime Minister of Hungary is threatened with death by the Ukrainian godfather. My friends, today let us make something clearly settled. From here we send a message to every Ukrainian and to the whole world: Z1G. Not Zorro, not Genius, but Z1G. Remember this and say it everywhere!
This is more than just insolence. This is an attack.
It serves to strengthen our opposition.
I am not saying Péter Magyar, because this is Brussels’ Péter — no, not Brussels — Ukrainian Péter coming to power.
On Friday late afternoon, the National Resistance Movement announced a protest in Budapest in front of the Ukrainian embassy. This is the pro-government civil organization close to Fidesz that last year spent more than 600 million forints on social media advertisements supporting the government and discrediting Péter Magyar.
The Ukrainians are interfering in the Hungarian elections more brutally and more seriously than ever before. What do they want? They want a pro-Ukraine government to come to power and to be led by a pro-Ukraine prime minister. The experiences of the past days, weeks and months show that the Ukrainians are capable of anything in this regard. Now they have placed Hungary under an oil blockade.
The Druzhba oil pipeline stopped at the end of January because of a Russian attack. However, government-aligned politicians claim that there is nothing wrong with the pipeline and that Ukraine simply refuses to restart it for political reasons. There is no technical issue that would prevent the oil shipment that is vital for us from Russia from reaching Hungary. A political decision stands behind it.
President Zelensky does not allow it to be turned back on, he does not allow oil to be delivered, because in this way he wants to influence Hungarian public opinion. They are counting on the fact that if prices rise, not only transportation will become more difficult but the price of everything will increase. And the goal is that people will hold Viktor Orbán responsible for it.
Because they know exactly that if they can cause an oil supply crisis in Hungary, if they can create a fuel price of 1000 forints per liter in Hungary, then that is bad for the government but a great help for the Tisza Party.
Hungary’s sovereignty is very important, and Ukraine is seriously interfering in it. They are counting on the country getting into such a serious situation due to the oil cutoff that it strengthens the puppet who would carry out the will of Brussels and Ukraine.
The Brussels puppets, who are the puppets of international financial power — that weak Leyen and Weber — they are fueling and helping the Ukrainians. There is only one country’s leader who stands up against this, while the others are either cowards or afraid of losing their positions, and therefore they have not stood beside him.
The EU should protect EU member states, shouldn’t it? And what does it do? It finances a country at war that is not even an EU member. Where does it take the money from? Who will pay for it? The EU member states and the Hungarians.
Do not forget when life becomes harder — God forbid — who is responsible. Péter Magyar bears personal political responsibility for the Ukrainians not sending energy to Hungary. Because of Péter Magyar’s selfish political gain we are in the situation we are in now, and Viktor Orbán will have to solve it.
This is more than insolence. This is an attack. It is a pre-organized action meant to strengthen our opposition.
I am not saying Péter Magyar — this is Brussels’ Péter, no, Ukrainian Péter coming to power.
“You came to the wrong place, don’t you see?”
“No, I did not come to the wrong place.”
“You are mistaken. Please, you want to take photos.”
“Don’t touch me.”
This question is important: in this situation, how would Jesus act?
“So does this mean you do not agree with the government’s policy toward Ukraine?”
“This means madness. In practice we heat with Ukrainian blood and drive with Ukrainian blood.”
For days now Fidesz politicians and the Ukrainian president have been sending messages to each other because of the pipeline.
This is proof of their lack of culture, but that is only one thing. It shows what they are really like. President Zelensky’s death threat against the Hungarian prime minister shows what the Ukrainians are really like. They threaten and blackmail.
“What do they think of themselves?”
The Hungarian people are much more valuable than the Ukrainian leadership with their golden toilets — they should be ashamed.
Let it be clear to the Ukrainians here and now: we demand that they immediately stop threatening the Hungarian people. Zelensky should withdraw his enforcers and also take a step back himself.
Fortunately, even on the other side some people are starting to realize that Zelensky’s threat toward the prime minister yesterday was not very elegant.
The Tisza Party also condemned it, and Péter Magyar as well. Perhaps this is the point where we should come together somehow. It would be good if we could move beyond these internal tensions, because everyone consumes information inside their own circles, but objectively looking at things would now be much more important.
We should strive for peace. Viktor Orbán is doing this, that is why I like him and that is why I will vote for him.
“Gentlemen, let’s stop the pushing. I do not like that. I would like to ask about the Russian president’s statements. He said that Hungary will only get gas if it follows this policy. What does that mean, Mr. faction leader?”
“Good afternoon.”
“When did you reject the Putin threat?”
“Look, Hungary is being threatened by the Ukrainian political elite, the military elite and the analytical world. For many months Péter Magyar has not condemned anything. This little theatrical performance by Péter Magyar is unacceptable and outrageous. Everything that is happening serves his interests.”
“The same goes for the Russian threat.”
“Péter Magyar has gone too far. The death threat against the prime minister and the shutting down of the oil pipeline — thus interfering in Hungarian elections — is enough. Enough.”
He’s about to spit. But why? But why? You are disgusting. But why? Then what should be done? Should we just let it happen? Okay, okay. Please! Because he is cutting my throat for the Hungarian light. Maybe there are events where mostly older people are present, but the events I went to had a lot of young people. But calm down, let’s clarify this at the beginning, because we really don’t want to travel and I’m glad they saw you and you should do good work.
We do not owe Ukraine anything, but absolutely nothing. We owe them nothing!
The National Resistance Movement called Fidesz supporters to the streets to protest against President Zelensky, and we came here and asked the participants.
Why did you think it was important to come to this protest?
Well, we see what is happening. The fact that the Prime Minister is being threatened. And in general the fact that our energy security, or that we can get fuel, is in danger. I think nobody has the right to do that. We have the right that this oil pipeline should be opened.
And to be honest, I am worried about what will happen. Because this is obviously a political, how should I say, blackmail. Rather than something that happens because of a technical reason.
And I think that if everyone is talking about their rights, and about how every country should have them, especially since in theory this should get a green light. So I think that every Hungarian has a duty. And completely independent of party politics it is important that we stand up for our own country.
Now we have to stand up more and more strongly for normality, because it is now completely starting to disappear. The many lies and hypocrisy completely take away the common sense of some people.
Because I would not like Hungary to be harmed, and the Hungarian prime minister to be threatened. I am not a Fidesz supporter, but now I have to stand next to them.
Who will you vote for, if it is not a secret?
For the first time in my life maybe Fidesz. And should I tell you why? Because of the war situation.
Otherwise I was with Mi Hazánk, and I still find Mi Hazánk more sympathetic. But now the situation is that it is more important that Tisza should go away than that Mi Hazánk achieves a better result.
The country must declare everything with which it protests against what Ukraine and its allies are doing.
It was interesting what you said, that you travel around the country. Why do you think the government will change today? The pro-government rallies have far fewer young people than the other side.
Interestingly I do not experience that. I go to many events, even anti-war gatherings. I take photos with a lot of young people.
I think that obviously a conservative-valued person has a certain age threshold until they mature enough to understand why we turn from that great rebellious freedom into a conscious and responsible person.
But those whose parents pass this on to the younger generation — it can be seen that they did a good job, because I do not experience this actually.
Maybe there are events where mostly older people are present, but the events I went to had many young people.
We went to many pro-government demonstrations in recent times, and our experience was that there were very few young people present there as well. Why do you think that is?
I don’t know. I have no idea.
But you also noticed this difference, that at the opposition events there are more young people.
I haven’t looked at it from that perspective yet, but from now on I will.
Young people grew up in a social system that does not know the past. I still know it. The other system too.
And I know that when they tell people that, well, you know, you have an Audi, you have a Volkswagen, and you can afford all this now. So politics does not interest them so much.
Young people generally are not interested in politics, because many other things are more important to them — social relationships. I think that is mainly the reason.
When I was younger I was not very interested either.
Why are young people not at such demonstrations?
They have been brainwashed. Unfortunately.
They are at home. But maybe here there are a bit more young people than usual.
Unfortunately this is the failure of education policy that Fidesz also does. Sorry, let me criticize them a bit.
Hungarian youth must be raised to patriotism, and if someone is a patriot then they know that this is where they belong.
I’ll spit right away. But why? Why? You are disgusting. Why?
He got nervous.
Yes, he saw this sign I had and got nervous.
Why do you think that is?
Well… because their propaganda says something else.
These people are filthy.
I don’t think they are filthy.
Orbán Viktor also talked about a new world order forming, where America and China are strengthening. And we can see that we are now between two chairs, and that is where the conflict comes from. If you had to choose in this new world order, whose side should we stand on?
The Russians. So next to China.
The kid is from Momentum, be careful!
I am not from Momentum. Of course not. Completely independent.
But why would I be from Momentum? I don’t understand that.
If China stands next to Russia, there is nothing wrong with that.
And one more important thing: we should leave the EU and NATO. The EU indebts us and leads us into war, and NATO also leads us into war. Hungary should move toward neutrality.
Yesterday Magyar Péter also condemned Zelensky’s threat, and today the European Commission also condemned his words. But after that today the Ukrainian money couriers were caught, and this very interesting situation developed. How much do you think this helps peace and restarting the oil pipeline?
I think that if we look back one month, how things stood then — clearly events are getting harsher day by day. And this is what really frightened me as well.
As a mother, as a Hungarian, and as a musician.
The fact that I travel around the country, I would like to reach as many places as possible. And if we are really talking about the possibility that our basic needs could be threatened, then I think people should wake up and realize that there is a problem.
We should not trivialize it or say that there is no war danger and everything is exaggerated. We can clearly see that this is not the case.
Otherwise why would Zelensky send such messages to the Hungarian prime minister or to Hungarians?
Okay, okay, okay. Please, because he cuts my throat for Hungarian everything, or something like that, and one of his friends.
Do you want a sandwich?
No thanks.
Why?
Hi! Hello! Hi! How are you?
Fine thanks, and you?
Great thanks.
And now a quick interview?
Still no.
Why?
The maximum you got out of me was that question, and you see, even you felt uncomfortable because they said you were stammering — but I think you were very good.
For me it is uncomfortable that afterward that… who was it… the body language analyst said incredible things.
Wait, listen to this one thing. Were you aware that there was a wasp on you there?
Yes, it was there.
Okay but let’s clarify this at the beginning, because we really don’t want trouble, and I’m glad you saw us and I wish you good work.
What happened today in Hungary, that the Ukrainian money couriers were caught — how much does this bring us closer to peace and restarting the Druzhba pipeline shipments?
I do not really understand the question, because the story that these are legal money couriers transporting money from Raiffeisen from Austria along the M5 to Ukraine is a cheap lie.
These are obviously black funds.
What did they think, that sooner or later they would not be caught?
What should be done? Should we just let it happen?
And whose money is this? Where is it going? How much of it will stay here? Are there answers to these questions?
The Ukrainians know that as long as there is a sovereign national government in Hungary, Hungary will stay out.
We will not send soldiers, we will not allow Hungarian money to be taken away, and we will not allow Ukraine into the European Union.
They want a pro-Ukraine government to come into power, led by a Ukraine-friendly prime minister.
But this will not happen in Hungary.
There will not be a pro-Ukraine government. And Hungary will not have a Ukraine-friendly prime minister.
This is as certain as we are standing here.
Orbán Viktor also said that a new world order is emerging. And we see that this will be decided between America and China. Russia clearly chose China.
Where do you think Hungary’s place is?
Because we see that Trump already introduced sanctions against those buying Russian oil and gas. Hungary got one year of exemption from these sanctions.
So where is our place? Next to China or next to America?
Well, I think Orbán Viktor is trying to maintain what is called connectivity — good economic relations with everyone.
But we can see that this does not work now.
Well nothing works immediately. Sooner or later something will emerge.
Hungary is not in a political or economic position to choose one side.
When Hungary chose sides in the First World War and in the Second World War, it paid a very bloody price — territorially and in human lives.
Orbán Viktor as prime minister must decide very wisely so that the Hungarian nation survives.
Did you come here today as a counter-protester?
Well I cannot exactly say that. I tried to come to this demonstration and I was curious whether they would let me in.
And what reactions did you get from the protesters?
The sign clearly says that people are killed with Russian gas prices. So clearly there is an anti-Russian narrative present.
And here it is, let’s say, a relatively pro-Russian demonstration.
Yes, I have protested before, I have spoken about this before, even in my community.
They asked me then whether I hate all Fidesz supporters.
I answered that my mother also voted for Fidesz. Should I hate her too?
We must live together with our compatriots.
Yes, yes, we also saw that.
It says that people are killed with Russian oil.
That is right.
A Christian person would not do such a thing.
Now this sign with this text does not belong here, this is a Fidesz event. Go to the Tisza party supporters.
But isn’t it true?
No.
Why?
Because you can bake bread with it.
And transport medicine and food.
Hi everyone! It looks very good, there are many of us now.
You cannot run much else with it, so he is not right.
They should take it away from him.
This was our report from in front of the Ukrainian Embassy.
If you liked the video, make sure to subscribe, like it, and if you have an opinion, write it in the comments.
❗ We will take the strictest possible action against extremist Islamist groups. The army has been deployed to 75 locations to protect energy infrastructure. What happened to Nord Stream must not happen here.
We have established a fact-finding committee to investigate the Druzhba oil pipeline. We demand that they be allowed access to the pipeline!
Iran has called on all Islamists to wage jihad. As a result, not only have energy prices surged, but the terror threat in Europe has also increased. Hungary is ready! We will break the oil blockade and guarantee the security of Hungarians!
In times of danger, Fidesz is the safe choice! 🟠
Viktor Orbán made an important announcement.
This morning the Defense Council held a meeting, where we reviewed the measures required due to the Ukrainian oil blockade and the war in the Middle East.
In a situation like this, Hungary’s peace and security are the most important, which is why the Defense Council will remain in continuous session.
Because of the Middle Eastern conflict, we concluded that the terrorist threat in Europe has increased. Therefore, in Hungary we have strengthened public protection and will increase the presence of police and soldiers in public spaces.
I have instructed law enforcement agencies to act with the utmost severity against individuals connected to extremist Islamist groups.
We must also pay special attention to our critical energy infrastructure, because President Zelensky has announced that he will prevent Russian energy from reaching Europe. Therefore, any energy facility using Russian energy could become a target of Ukrainian sabotage operations.
The Nord Stream pipeline was also blown up by the Ukrainians, which is why we have decided to strengthen the protection of Hungary’s energy facilities.
According to the report I received today, the army has already been deployed at 75 locations.
We also decided to establish a fact-finding committee led by State Secretary Gábor Czepek. Their task is to assess the actual condition of the Druzhba oil pipeline on site.
We demand that President Zelensky allow our inspectors into Ukraine and make it possible to examine the pipeline.
Hungary will not give in. We will resist Ukrainian blackmail, break the oil blockade, and until the situation is resolved we will block every EU decision important to Ukraine.
🎭 Influence Techniques in Alexandra’s Text
The text is not simple information; it is a message strongly constructed through political communication framing and uses several classic propaganda and influence techniques.
1️⃣ Building a threat narrative (fear framing)
Key elements:
“terrorism threatens Europe”
“extremist Islamist groups”
“they may become targets of sabotage actions”
📌 Technique: The communication creates a framework suggesting a high level of threat.
🎯 Goal: To trigger an emotional reaction from the audience (fear, uncertainty), which increases people’s willingness to accept strong leadership and tough measures.
💥 Effect: The voter does not examine concrete policy issues but instead feels:
“there is danger → protection is needed.”
2️⃣ Identifying an external enemy (enemy framing)
Key elements:
“Ukrainian sabotage”
“Ukrainian blackmail”
“Zelensky is blocking energy”
📌 Technique: An external actor is presented as the primary cause of the problems.
🎯 Goal: To reframe domestic political tensions and economic problems as an external conflict.
💥 Effect: The audience focuses less on internal decisions and more on a foreign adversary.
